To help us answer quickly, please tell us the email address on your account, the device you're using (for example iPhone 15, iOS 18), and what you expected to happen.

Manage or cancel your subscription

iPhone and iPad. Open Magic Read and go to Account → Manage subscription, which opens your App Store subscription settings. You can also go to the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Android. Manage the subscription in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.

Website. Open Account and use the cancel option there.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refunds

Purchases made inside the iPhone or iPad app are billed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchases made on the website or on Android are covered by our Refund Policy — email us and we'll review it.

The microphone or pronunciation scoring isn't working

Pronunciation practice needs microphone access. On iPhone, check Settings → Magic Read and make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are enabled. On Android, check Settings → Apps → Magic Read → Permissions. Then reopen the app and try again. If it still doesn't score you, email us and mention the language you were practising.

Delete your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Account → Delete account in the app, or from our account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and removes your saved texts, decks and progress.

What's included

The free plan includes 3 reading texts per day, 20 pronunciation checks per day, 5 saved texts, and 2 decks with up to 100 flashcards. Magic Read Pro removes those limits and adds YouTube videos with smart captions.

Magic Read supports English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Turkish.
